Below is the proposal I presented to Church Board tonight. It was unanimously approved along with a budget of $1000 to fix up the rooms and get started. We currently have a couple of children for Sabbath School every few weeks.
“And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.” Mark 10:13-16
Vision: Plan, prepare, and provide the best children’s Sabbath School in the conference.
Currently: When kids come, we figure out something for them. “We should do something for the kids.”
Future: Have an awesome program planned, and then provide the program whenever kids come. “Kids are the focus of our energy and attention.”
Goal: Kids drag parents to church because they love Sabbath School. “Hurry mom and dad, I don’t want to be late for Sabbath School.”
